Apprentice Technician – 2nd Year
Reports to PCNT Service Manager
Job Purpose
The Porsche Apprentice Service Technician works on routine maintenance jobs and repairs under the supervision of a technician. He/she will work toward becoming a technical specialist at Porsche Centre North Toronto who will learn to perform diagnostic and repair work in the context of technically demanding and complex tasks.

Assist the Porsche Service Technician with general maintenance and minor repairs.
Perform the work described in the work orders efficiently and accurately.
Use appropriate tools, test equipment, and report defective or poorly functioning equipment to the supervisor.
Maintain and develop skill levels in repair and service of vehicles.
Keep abreast of federal and provincial regulations and municipal bylaws, such as those governing the removal of hazardous waste, etc.; understands and observes them.
Ensure that the shop is clean and tidy.
Perform other tasks, based on management requirements and instructions.
Basic qualifications and skills
Business and/or technical education at a university/college
Current enrolment in a registered apprenticeship program
Knowledge of luxury vehicles an asset
Knowledge of the automotive trade
Good numeracy skills, and sound analyzing skills.
Valid Ontario G license
Ability to operate both standard and automatic transmission
Current member in good standing with the Ontario College of trades
